School Accreditation

Veritas is happy to announce that it has been designated by the Georgia Accrediting Commission as ACCREDITED WITH QUALITY, the highest level available, as a Non-Traditional Educational Center.  Among other things, this accreditation means that our students will be eligible for Hope Scholarship funds prior to college attendance, as are other high school graduates, rather than waiting to receive the funds retroactively as is generally required for home schooled students.

This is a major step in the growth of Veritas Academy as it also means that diplomas issued by Veritas will be more favorably recognized by colleges and universities as our students seek admittance.  More information, including the extensive accreditation requirements which Veritas has met, are available at the Georgia Accrediting Commision website.  Congratulations to Veritas' Board of Directors, Col. Robyn, Mrs. Gobel, and all administration, faculty, and staff for their hard work in making this possible!

NOTE:  This does not mean that Veritas is a "school" under GA law; therefore, families must still follow home school attendance records requirements.  This is to our advantage because Veritas does not need to spend more funds meeting requirements that do not directly contribute to the quality of the education your children receive.
