Booster ClubDear Parents and Students, Greetings from the Gryphon Nation - your newly-named Veritas Booster Club! We are excited about the progress we are making in our efforts to provide support and encouragement for all of our students engaged in Veritas team competition. We want to inform you of what is happening and remind you of our purpose. The Gryphon Nation exists to support all competitive activities in which Veritas teams engage. This includes all competitions that utilize the physical and mental skills of our Veritas students. We want to help equip and support our coaches and staff in their efforts to train the minds and bodies of our students, and we want to recognize the accomplishments they achieve. The nobility of competition can be a tool to foster in our students the Christ-like character traits of self-control and perseverance. It can be a training ground for humility, and a tutor that teaches them how to always give God the glory. It teaches them, as Kipling said, to "meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same." May God be glorified as we come alongside the students, teachers, and coaches of Veritas in the noble realm of competition. That being said, we would like to extend an invitation for any interested parents to come and join the Gryphon Nation. If you are interested, contact Susan Barry at joelsusanbarry@bellsouth.net and sign up today! There is a $20 annual membership fee per family. In return for these dues, you can choose to receive either a Veritas V ball cap or Veritas Gryphons t-shirt. The proceeds received from the dues will go directly to helping our coaches and students with the cost of uniforms, equipment, trophies, letters etc. If you would like to order additional caps or shirts, they can be purchased for a reduced rate of $15. Another way you can support the Gryphon Nation is to visit our new spirit wear website! Click on the above photo to purchase new outerwear. Look for an upcoming email telling you which shirts and outerwear will be eligible for our students to wear to school on Spiritwear Day. This will be a special day to wear your Veritas gear, and no non-uniform fee will be charged. If your budget is tight, and you would just like to order a basic hoodie and/or hat, then please contact Susan Barry for a special price on hoodies and hats. You can see a picture of these hats below. Of course, if you would simply like to write a check to help us, that would be most welcome. You can make your check out to Veritas and cite Gryphon Nation on the memo line. The best news is that a portion of the proceeds from this website will be donated back to Veritas Academy AND the following *styles below are acceptable to wear as uniform outerwear every day.
