Colonel Eric W. Robyn (US Army, Retired)
Headmaster
(B.S. US Military Academy; M.S. Purdue University; M.A. US Naval War College; M.S. Salve Regina College). After more than 26 years of active duty service in the Army, Colonel Robyn settled in Savannah, where he has actively engaged in a variety of ministry, business, and community organizations. In addition to teaching at college and high school levels, he has taught a variety of subjects in the Rhetoric School, and has served as a Veritas Board member. Married over 40 years, Eric and Sally are blessed to have 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, and to be members of the Independent Presbyterian Church. 






Mr. Charles "Chip" Welch - Assistant Headmaster and Principal of Veritas Rhetoric School
(B.A. Mercer University; M.Div. Reformed Theological Seminary).
Mr. Welch is a native of Savannah.  He has lived in Mississippi and Colorado working with Christian ministries for college students.  After moving back home in 2006, he has taught several classes at Veritas in our Logic and Rhetoric schools, as well as, coached the boys basketball and flag football teams.  He has chaired our Student Life Committee for several years also.  He enjoys playing golf and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.  He and his wife, Meg, have two young boys and are active members of Christ Church (Anglican).




 



Mrs. Angie Copetillo - Grammar and Logic School Principal

Mrs. Copetillo, a Savannah native, has taught History, English and Logic for the last eight years in a variety of classical school settings.  She and her husband are the founders of Auburn Classical Academy in Auburn, AL, where Angie has served as principal for the last several years.  She discovered her passion for teaching and classical education while first teaching at Veritas Academy before moving to Auburn, where she and her husband also own several businesses.  Prior to teaching and business, Angie served as a Congressional press intern and newspaper editor, and as a communications director and market analyst for marketing firms in Tucson and Savannah.  She has four boys and a baby girl, and loves being a wife and mom.  She and her family are looking forward to returning to their Savannah home and we are delighted she and her family are joining the Veritas Academy family!

Mr. Brent Beaumont - Dean of Academics
(B.S. University of Arkansas; M.Div. Reformed Theological Seminary; M.A. St. John's College)
Brent is unique in that his expertise spans both the humanities and math/science. He has traveled to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Estonia and Finland.  He is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks football fan, enjoys fly fishing and coffee roasting.  He and his wife have two small children and are members of Christ Church (Anglican).








Mrs. Jaymi Bragg - Special Projects Manager
(B.S. University of Georgia)
Mrs. Bragg has taught all different ages of children for over ten years.  She came to Veritas in 2005 from the Tybee Island Marine Science Center where she served as a Marine Educator and Aquarist.  She has also taught in the public school systems on the middle school and high school level.  She has been a Veritas teacher in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 11th grades since being with us.  She and her husband, Nathan, have a two year old son.  They are members of Independent Presbyterian Church.






Mrs. Pam Chumley - Executive Assistant
(B.S. Armstrong Atlantic State University)

Pam has a degree in Early Elementary Education and has taught various subjects in Christian schools for 20 years.  She also has several graduate courses completed in this same field.  She and her family are members of Savannah Christian Church.









Mrs. Angela Straight -  Receptionist and Office Assistant
(A.A. Armstrong Junior College, cum laude)
For more than twenty-five years Mrs. Straight has taught American and World History, Bible, Economics, U.S. Government and Science to middle and high school students. She has completed several Old and New Testament courses from Moody Bible Institute. Mrs. Straight coordinated Veritas Academy's first annual yearbook in 2009-2010.  She is a proud grandmother of two Veritas students.  Mrs. Straight is a member of Independent Presbyterian Church.






Mrs. Estela Anderson - Bookkeeper
(B.A. West Georgia College)
Mrs. Anderson moved to Savannah in 1991.  She held accountant positions at the Chatham County Health Department and Memorial Health University.  She comes from a local private school, where she was the bookeeper for 11 years.  Mrs. Anderson and her husband Tony are members of Immanuel Baptist Church.  They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren.
